30 Years Gone

AMERICANA, COUNTRY ROCK

The Eagles, Ray Lamontagne, Band of Horses

In 1989, a group of 18 year-olds set out to conquer the world with their music. Now, decades later, they’ve reunited and re-recorded their entire library of songs. 30 Years Gone is a mix of Folk, Americana, Country, and classic rock, along the lines of The Eagles, Ray Lamontagne, and Band of Horses. Their debut album, Reunion, was originally released on EGCK Records in 2020, and is a masterwork of heart-felt storytelling, with unforgettable melodies. Their single, “Along The Way,” features a music video that will make you dance, and might make you cry!

Lockout Music is excited to re-release their full-length album Reunion. Check out their music video for “Along the Way!“

Lyrics

There was man who worked his life away

He held my hand and he helped me stand

He made me who I am

When I was born, My mamma was just a girl She was scared and alone in the world And I never told her just what she meant to me Lord if I go back you would see

There were people in my life

Those who loved me along the way

Some times I wish I’d told them more

Before they gone away

My kid brother found drugs when he was 10 Still he spent his life looking up to me Looking back now I never had time for him Oh my brother come back to me

There were people in my life

Those who loved me along the way

Some times I wish I’d told them more

Before they gone away

I can still hear your voice from a message on my phone It’s been a year but I still listen every night when I’m alone You laughed and told me that you loved me Even-though we fought that night as you drove away And the memories come back whenever I hear a sad song

Ruby I can’t believe your gone

Ruby I can’t believe your gone

People say I’ve got to move on if I ever want to live But inside I’m asking if I’ve got much left to give And they tell me that the pain goes as the memories fade away But I swear I hang onto you stronger every day And I wonder have they ever really lost someone who makes each day worth waking up If I hold my hand and over my heart it’s breaking up

Ruby I can’t believe your gone

Ruby I can’t believe your gone

Whoa whoa

When we tried to have a child

I wanted to see you in it’s eyes

We went through heartache and loss

Now all I know is goodbye

Whoa Whoa

I had a dream last night that you came into my bed You laid your arm across my chest and kissed my head And you said Ooo baby you’ve got to carry on All I always love you when your gone And when I woke up in the morning And saw the light come in from the day And I remembered what you told me That we would will meet again some day

Ruby this is your song

Ruby this is your song

Ruby this is your song

Ruby this is your song
